At INSIGHT, Peter manages our Executive and Management Development Practice helping our clients design, develop and deliver education and training programs that help accelerate their transformation to a services and solutions business model.
Peter has extensive experience as a practice leader and executive trainer, as well as hands-on involvement in driving organizations to be more market / customer focused. He spent 10 years in DuPont’s in-house business consulting organization where he led both the Strategy Integration and the Services Business Growth Practices. Strategy Integration uses a rigorous, metric-driven approach that effectively integrates all the organizational efforts needed for businesses to get results. Services Business Growth helps product businesses and corporate competencies add a services revenue stream, using practical, business-proven frameworks and methodologies to manage this different business model.
He designed and delivered a nine-day course that taught a common approach for value creation / innovation process in a customer centric world. This workshop-based curriculum integrated the voice of the customer from idea selection and candidate evaluation to business model design and launch readiness. The leadership course was given globally to hundreds of marketing and technology executives including versions designed for Chinese nationals in Shanghai and Beijing.
With 30 years of business management experience at DuPont, Peter has held management and professional positions in research, product development, sales, marketing, and business strategy. He developed the successful value-chain marketing approach for the high-growth Tyvek® business and identified unique applications while serving as Asian marketing manager.
Peter served in leadership roles in non-profits as Chairman of the National Postal Forum Board; Vice-Chair of Community Impact for United Way of Delaware Board (leading in the shift to a Community Impact Business Model); and Co-Chair of United States Postal Service (USPS) Marketing Advisory Board. Peter shared DuPont’s lessons learned about the ‘shift to an integration of skill sets in organizations aimed at customer / market segments’ at talks for the USPS Board of Governors and as a key note speaker at their National Leadership Conference.
